B Team Coach's Report 2009/2010
The 2009/2010 season saw the B team in Div. 1 of the wilts league.
The team has had an all inclusive policy to develop new players
again this year and to try and play everyone where possible. Spreading
it around has pluses and minuses, however I believe that the improving
and newer players benefit from this approach. We have a large squad
potentially, but people have other commitments and we have at times been
unable to field a full squad without drafting in other players who
would normally play with the ‘A’ team.
Hence we need a wide pool of players to be available to call on.
I had hoped that we could win the league this year but after coming 2nd I am not disappointed, because we have had some tough games that we could have lost and we fought back to win.
Next season will present more challenges as we will be promoted to the Premier Division and can expect stiffer competition.
